it's amazing what i'll do to procrastinate

i have quite a few friends who are avid bloggers and i've always been jealous of their dedication to the craft.  i started countless diaries as a child only to lose interest after a few entries (which always went like this: "oh my goodness, diary, ______________ is SO cute!!!!!!!!!! i wonder if he likes me?!?!?!?! i'll write more tomorrow, diary!!! xoxoxo, megan").  i don't know that i ever had a diary entry of substance, and i can't promise that i'll have anything of substance here either.  however, it's worth a shot if it means i can procrastinate my homework.  it's amazing what grad school makes me do.  seriously.  i've even been driven to CLEAN instead of work on projects.  and anyone that truly knows me knows that's saying something.

all i really want to do is play around with the blog features more and try to figure it out before i get overwhelmed.  when i joined twitter a few weeks ago (another grad school procrastination technique) i spent days just trying to figure out the basics.  there's another month-ish of the semester left and plenty of projects to procrastinate on so i should have lots of time to figure things out.

but just for the sake of keeping my first entry consistent with the idea of learning something new every day (or at least every day that i post...which with my diary history could be infrequent), here's my nugget for today: drivers do not appreciate it when you stop when the light turns yellow (red, maybe...yellow, no way). they do not care how pretty you think the boys are that are running by.

in my defense, i was trying to be a safe driver and not drive while i was distracted by those boys, but either way, lesson learned.  next time i'll pull off the road.
